Performance in the month of December 2011 Tutorz.com was mixed when compared to the month of November 2011. While Tutorz has increased the number of unique tutoring jobs from 86 (in November) to 94 in December, the number of unique visitors has dropped from 2,073 (in November) to 1,370 in December. However, this decline is due to the seasonal changes of the holiday season.

Most noteworthy is the visitor-to-lead conversion ratio which as sored to 6.9% from an already high level of 4.2% in November. The number of new tutor sign ups dropped to 26 (44 in November). Alexa improved Tutorz’ global rank to 1.007 million (1.08 million in November) suggesting the jump in 2012 below the 1 million mark. Local U.S. ranking remains constant at a rank of 327,000. Unfortunately, the bounce rate has dropped from 39% in November to 42% in December.

Overall, the 2012 graph shows the seasonal behavior of the tutoring industry: strong in spring and fall, slow in summer and around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The graph also shows the problems Tutorz had with marketing and business partnership in the time frame between August and November.

For 2012 Tutorz.com aims at entering the ranks of the biggest 1 million sites, consistently generating several hundred tutoring jobs each month and increasing the number of unique visitor to a monthly basis of 5,000.
