January 2012 was another record month for Tutorz.com. The number of unique tutoring jobs soared from 94 (in December) to 220 in January. By the same token the number of unique visitors has shot up to 3,050 (from 1,370 in December).
Even the visitor-to-lead conversion ratio has increased from an already high 6.9 to 7.2. We attribute this success to our ongoing development and marketing efforts as well as the re-start of the 2012 school season.
The number of new tutor sign ups essentially remains constant at 25 (26 in December). Alexa decreased Tutorz’ global rank down to 1.15 million (from exact 1 million in December). This contradicting result is likely due the fact that Alexa takes a several months measure when computing its rank. Local U.S. ranking also dropped slightly to 377,000 (from 327,000 in December). The bounce rate has slightly improved to 40.5% (from 42% in December).
