You can still purchase this job and offer the student your assistance. Sometimes tutors and students cannot find a suitable time or place or disagree on some other terms. In this case the student still needs a tutor.

There are so many tutors listed at TutorZ.com? Will I get any tutoring jobs?

Our matching algorithm is designed to promote all our tutors in an equal and fair manner. It also prevents accumulating all jobs by a limited number of privileged tutors. But you need to create a rich and truthful tutoring profile to attract the students' attention. Also make sure to ask for a reasonable tutoring fee, one that fits your experience and qualifications. It is also an inevitable tutoring market's feature that some subjects are very popular in one season and are neglected in others. Be patient and we will find students for you.

I have been a member of TutorZ.com for two weeks but have not received any tutoring jobs so far.

Unfortunately this may happen. We process many students' requests every day but they may not match your location and tutoring qualifications. But you can try to make your profile more attractive to student. You can find some tips how to do this right here on the FAQ page.

I can see a tutoring job matching my qualification in the tutoring job's list. How can I get it?

You cannot select these jobs at the moment. Only students by themselves or our sophisticated matching algorithm may choose you as a tutor for the lead. But we are planning to implement this option in the future.

You get paid directly from your student. 100% of the payment is yours. You can ask for payment in cash, check, credit card or money order.

Do I deal directly with the student for payment or does it go through TutorZ?

You deal directly with your student.

How is this income reported to the IRS?

We do not report your income to the IRS. TutorZ is not involved in the payment and the tutoring. TutorZ merely facilitates the introduction between parents and student and their qualified tutors.

After you have chosen a tutor who fits your needs go to his/her profile and fill out the contact form on the left side of the screen under tutor's photo or avatar (that is, your name, email and message). In the subsequent page, you may enter optional information such as your phone number. Click "Submit" and your message will be forwarded to your tutor.

Are you open to online tutoring as well? (via Skype, IM, email, etc.).

How many tutors may I contact?

Each tutor can only accept a limited number of students so it may happen that the tutor you like is temporarily unavailable.
