Personal Statement

I am an individual with an absolute commitment to helping others succeed. It is not just tutoring as a way to make an income but a genuine desire to offer my from-the-bottom-of-my-heart assistance to a serious someone that will truly benefit from it. My experience includes but is not limited to: -Teaching/Instructing in the areas of Mathematical concepts, techniques and applications including but not limited to Basic and College Mathematics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry. -Administering and grading examinations and homework assignments, as well as advising students on the subject matter as needed. -Leading and moderating classroom discussions accordingly. -Operating tutorial labs in various Mathematics courses including but not limited to Basic and College Mathematics, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Calculus. -Teaching/Instructing in the areas of Swahili language concepts and modeling authentic language use and cultural conventions. In addition, I have spent a number of years in the IT industry doing analysis, design, implementation, and support of various computer applications. My tutoring or teaching approach is of the future-shaping type. In other words, when I accept a tutoring or teaching job, I have it in my mind that I am carrying somebody's future or other peoples' futures in my hands. Therefore, I must ensure that I do an excellent job tutoring that person or those people. All I ask is that the other party/parties takes/take this as seriously as I am going to take it.
