Personal Statement

Born and raised in Taiwan until the age of 13. Jenny moved to Orange County, California in the fall of 1995. She obtained her undergraduate degrees of science in biology and of art in musical theater from UC Irvine, while also serving in the US Naval Reserve as a Hospital Corpsman, and as a paramedic for the county of Los Angeles. Jenny moved to San Diego in December of 2005, and currently works as a tutor, respite worker and volunteers as emergency crisis/incident counselor for the city. In her spare time, she enjoys walking on the beach, art, dancing, singing and giving back to the community by volunteering. Through her work as a tutor, she has worked with students ranging in age from 5 to 40 in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English, sat/psat, and Reading. Jenny has recently gave birth to a boy but she still plans to return to medical school in the near future to pursue her medical degree as M.D to specializing in Emergency Medicine and Trauma Surgery.
