Personal Statement
I have 20 years of Hindi teaching experience. I can teach students of any age, grade, or fluency level. My working availability is flexible to match your schedule. I have successfully completed the 45-hour requirements of the Discover Asia Professional Development Course in conjunction with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages and the startalk Program.
I have taught students of age groups varying from 3 to 60 years of age and varying ethnicity and proficiency levels. I am a native speaker of Hindi and use creative strategies to aid in learning. I make learning fun by ensuring that my students learn more than just Hindi when working with me--I encourage them to learn more about the culture as well.
In addition to teaching Hindi, I can also teach religious bhajans to younger children to familiarize them with the religious teachings of Hinduism.
