Personal Statement

I have been teaching and coordinating Health and Physical Education programs for over 34 years in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. I am the Department Head of Health and Physical Educational at Pittsburgh Allderdice. I have an extensive background in athletics with a concentration on baseball and other athletic training programs. I provide private lessons in many different sport activities. I was a four year Letterman at the University of Pittsburgh in baseball and served as an assistant coach for eight seasons. I develop educational programs for students interested in sport management and a career in coaching. I have expertise in curriculum development in Health Education and have been published for a Health education company. I have been recently inducted into the University of Pittsburgh's Varsity Letterman's Hall of Fame receiving the Awardee of Distinction for outstanding contributions to society utilizing my degree.I provide private tutoring and special need programs for high school students in my present teaching site. I am the Athletic Director at the University of Pittsburgh for the summer program for students in continuing educational and community development for the last 25 years. I network University athletes and employ high school students in my program. I also assist high school athletes in their college decision process as it relates to recruiting and baseball.
