Personal Statement
Hi there - I have spoken Spanish since the age of 16, when I studied in Spain for a year in high school. I later studied in Chile in college, and in Spain again for a Master's Degree. I have also backpacked throughout Latin America and lived four years working in Finance in Mexico. I know that language-learning can be a challenge, but I also know how powerfully it can change your life. I look forward to meeting you and your child, and helping him or her become excited by what learning a new language can do for your ability to interact in the world, meet other people, and appreciate the diversity of cultures around us. Languages needn't be a chore, and with practice, some simple drills, and curiosity anyone can succeed!
