I graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia (while also attending the University of Quebec in Trois Rivieres in Canada) with a BA in French, and attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana to complete my teaching certification in French. I taught French both at the secondary and grade-school levels for four years. I have also tutored high school students in French.
Later, I graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana with a BA in chemistry. I worked as a Quality Control Chemist in a pharmaceutical lab and an industrial lab. I also worked as an Environmental Chemist for Southwestern Electric Power Company in Shreveport, Louisiana and for the City of LaGrange in Georgia in the Water Pollution Control lab.
I am very well-rounded academically, and am able to tutor children in any subject in grades K-8.
Personal Statement
I am able to make a student feel comfortable which is the most important prerequisite for learning. I am able to quickly tune in to a student's particular style of learning and teach him/her in a manner he/she can understand.
