Personal Statement

I came from Israel 26 years ago, and have been successfully teaching Hebrew as a second language in afternoon schools, 15 years at Reuben Gittelman Hebrew day school in New-city Ny (a Solomon- Schechter school) preparing students for the Hebrew Regents as well as the SAT 2 and for the last 7 years I have been teaching Hebrew at Solomon-Schechter school of Westchester, grades 9-12. I am an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivating teacher who has taught all grades and all levels, including adults and students with no prior knowledge of the language. I am in the process of finishing a grammar book especially designed for the English speaking student. The important point is, how to teach based on the differences between Hebrew and English and by using many self made methods to ensure easy recognition and use of rules. I guarantee that any student, who is tutored by me, enjoys his progress, uses my personal techniques and becomes more fluent in the Hebrew language. I tutor students who wish to take the Hebrew SAT 2, as well as adults who wish to begin their studies.
