Personal Statement
I am very pleased to introduce myself as a tutor in the Korean language, with passionate and enthusiastic desire. I am a native Korean speaker who has graduated from 4 year college in South Korea, majoring in English literature and language.
When I was in Korea, I used to translate from Korean to English and back to Korean as well as tutoring in English and Math. Furthermore, I have some experiences in teaching the Korean language for several years at the Korean churches during summer recess and on Saturdays in NY, USA.
My teaching tools are textbooks, vocabulary cards with pictures, videos (maybe audiotapes), and other materials required according to the students levels, so that students can improve speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills at the same time. I strongly prefer that students speak Korean only in class except for the beginners. The teaching methods will be diversified in terms of ages and levels. For example, if teaching little kids, visual directions will be strongly recommended for easy memory.
