Personal Statement

I am a professional. I have been a language teacher for 5 years in a high school. I speak four different languages; Creole, French, Spanish and English. I have experience working with a diverse group of students. I taught ESL courses as well at the high school level. I have a bachelors degree in Spanish from City College of New York and a Master's in Secondary education from Pace University. I am a New York State certified Spanish and bilingual teacher. I have worked with students with a diverse learning styles and have created lesson plans to meet their needs. I have implemented curriculum, used technology to instruct students to produce success in my classroom. I have done volunteering services and worked as a translator when I visited an orphanage in Haiti during the earthquake in 2010. I taught Creole to the foreign volunteers who were working there at the time and taught French to the elementary students. I have many skills and practical experiences which have prepared me to be a great tutor and a leader in my field.
