Personal Statement

Learn from a professional translator currently employed by a major video game developer who has lived and worked in Japan for more than 13 years, and was where you are now 20 years ago, a student of Japanese. I mastered Spanish by the 10th grade and began looking for a linguistic challenge. I found that challenge with Japanese. I fell so much in love with the Japanese language that I made it major course of study in my university. I was selected to participate in the Japan Exchange Teaching program me and spent my first years in Japan working as an Assistant English Language Teacher and honing my Japanese skill in the real world. My experience in Japan kept me there for 13 years and landed me my current career of 5 years with a well-know video game developer. Despite what native speakers my tell you, Japanese is not any more difficult than English or many other languages. In fact, kids as young as 4 years old are able to communicate in Japanese oblivious to the fact that it is supposed to be difficult. Allow me to help you too understand and communicate in this awesome language.
