Personal Statement

To Be Short And Simple! In order to learn a language, we need to learn the culture and the accent of this language, once we get the tone right, we get the flexibility of controlling or self confidence and passion of learning it in perfection way. Arabic is very important (simple - difficult) language, it's a sort of tricks and hidden keys, according to my experience as a poet and journalist and of course native Arabic speaker from Iraq, if you are the one who enjoying of using your IQ and your memory of learning, definitely you will going to enjoy the magic of metaphor of this language! and you will finally can play tennis with (Earth - Ball) because you will have the Eastern - Western culture in one hand! Summary of my experience was: Experienced tutor, interpreter and translator, with considerable Arabic-language skill in writing poetry, essays, and short- and long-form articles for publication. Member of the Iraqi Writers and Poets’ Union and Iraqi Journalists’ Union. Bilingual: fluent in English and Arabic (dialects: Iraqi, Jordanian- Palestinian, Yamani, Egyptian and All Arabian-Gulf dialects. Cultural Liaison, Translator and Interpreter: Negotiating between Swiss, German and Iraqi oil representatives by receiving their bid offers on oil contracts and rewriting and altering the offer to fit Iraqi cultural and business norms. Rewriting, which involved literal translation from English to Arabic, as well as stylistic editing to conform roughly translated Arabic by European representatives into a grammatically correct and culturally-sensitive format for Iraqi readers. Interpreting freely between European and Iraqi representatives (English to Arabic and Arabic to English) for conferences. Tutor: Gave private lessons in Arabic to American students in Jordan: Focus was especially in intermediate and advanced understanding of the Arabic language in culture, style, grammar and tone.
