Personal Statement

I have a background in Fine art, painting and drawing. I have also studied Art history. I can provide the basic skills needed to understand and create art. I have taught children during summertime breaks or for their own personal interest. An art tutor’s job is to teach developmental analogy and critical thinking in art. To teach placement of subject matter and idea into a two or three dimensional concept. To be self-directed, self-monitored and disciplined and to create new ideas. I would like to help students understand color and subject form which is needed to help the creative process and not to be afraid of self expression in art.
