Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Aaron and I am from Ashland, OH. I received my Bachelor's in Mathematics at the University of Toledo. I also have an interest in history, specifically American History. Most likely you are looking at my profile because you want a tutor in the realm of math. I'll help you with everything from addition and subtraction, to geometry, to trigonometry, to advanced statistics, and beyond. My tutoring history is not "official" in the way of having a job tutoring, but rather I was a tutor to my friends and classmates. I have been a tutor for those in different math courses in which the best way to help them grasp the subject was to ask them their understanding and then take them from not understanding to mastering the subject. My tutoring style is to first learn what you understand, build from there, and then drill. Once we get to your difficult part, we will review and then I will drill you with the book's problems and then my own problems to ensure you completely understand the material. I may not come off as the nicest tutor, but my goal is for you to master the material, not be your best friend. That being said, I do really care about you knowing your subject for more than the next test, that is why I am pushing you to do better.
