Personal Statement
I am finishing my fourth year in college at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and I am majoring in elementary education and minoring in Korean through the College of Education and Human Development. I graduated high school with a 3.0 GPA.
Another subject I really enjoy is Korean, partly because I was adopted from Korea at 7 months. Since then I have been to Korea 6 times and I just finished my second year learning the language at school.
Throughout my life I have always wanted to be a teacher because I enjoy instructing others and helping them become better at subjects, especially when I enjoy the subjects as much as I do Math and Korean. I love learning different ways students learn and try and help them that way. I have a lot of leadership experience including being a Welcome Week Leader at my University. Welcome Week is a program which ushers incoming freshmen into the University to have as seamless a transition as possible.
