Personal Statement
Dear Potential Students,
I am currently a college student at Sacramento State University pursuing a degree in Mathematics. My goal is to become a math teacher and tutoring students as a job will help me reach that goal faster. I am able to teach pre-algebra up to algebra two. I do not have any certificates that qualify me as an excellent tutor but I have tutored many people including classmates, siblings, and friends.
In high school I took algebra 1 up to pre-calculus as well as a physics class. I performed fairly well, achieving A's throughout all my semesters in math classes. I prefer tutoring one on one so that I am able to communicate efficiently with the student and tutor the subject step by step to help them understand. As I said before, I am not a credentialed tutor but I can help in the best way that I can.
