Education and Qualifications

school: Princeton University

I graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering. My areas of expertise include Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics, but I enjoy teaching Physics 1 & 2, General Chemistry 1 & 2, and Organic Chemistry 1 & 2 the most. I also have experience tutoring SAT Math, SAT Physics, SAT Chemistry, GRE, MCAT, and the NLN Nursing Exam.

Personal Statement

Over the years, I've taught scores of adult and high school students, volunteered as an IRC tutor, and taught ESL in Tokyo. From these varied experiences, I've learned the winning formula for great tutoring: patience, understanding, creativity, organization, and a strong knowledge of the subject matter. My approach is hands-on as well as holistic. My sessions are run much like a workshop where I help students work though complex material in a step-by-step fashion, giving them the assistance that most teachers or professors are unable to provide. Furthermore, I cater to the student's personality. I believe anxious, disorganized, or gifted students can perform better when taught proper patience, organizational, and planning skills. This is why most of my students show an immediate improvement after just a few sessions with me.
