Personal Statement
Hello! I am a current 6th grade Special Education teacher with four years of tutoring experience. I have tutored students ranging from grades three through six in all subject areas, including MCAS preparation. I recently received my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education and certification in Special Education from Simmons College. During my undergraduate studies I majored in Humanities and Elementary Education. I was a student teacher in three different classrooms, which exposed me to varied teaching styles. During these practicums I worked with students one-on-one in the areas of math and reading. I am an enthusiastic and devoted teacher who prides myself on finding unique and exciting ways to relay the coursework to the students allowing for a deepened understanding of the material. Additionally, I have college level tutoring experience in algebra. I look forward to meeting you and your child!
