Personal Statement

My name is Kompu-Kim. Most of my experience was gained through on-the-job training working for most of the computer manufacturers all over the north greater Boston area. I attended Northern Essex Community College and received an Associates Degree from Andover Junior College. I classify myself as an end-user specialist. I have taught over 5000 satisfied students in the past 20 years. I have owned and operated my own computer training business for that long as well. I am a firm believer in the least keystroke approach, and I use a test proven approach by showing people the big picture, so they will have all the pieces of the puzzle and thoroughly understand how it all fits together. I use visual aids, because a picture is worth 1000 words! I have taught all ages and overcome many challenges with my approach, I have even successfully taught learning disabled students and students that struggle with with the English language. I advance at your pace and that is why I can guarantee comprehension if you are following my recommendations. My classes are filled with a lot of tips, tricks and shortcuts that help you to optimize your time on the computer and be more proficient as a computer user. I specialize in most industry standard applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as Quickbooks and have done consulting in all of these applications as well. I like personal tutoring because I can advance each class at your pace and customize each session for your individual needs at no one else’s expense so you get more “bang for the buck” sort of speak. I use laymen's terminology and make sure you are with me every step of the way. If you don’t understand something, we can back up and review it again until you do understand it. You are more than welcome to record the sessions if you provide the recording tools, “What helps you, helps me”. I do give out documented notes that accompany each class that reiterate the topics we cover and give you the step-by-step instructions if there are any. I have been told by my past students they considered my training “the quickest and easiest way to learn."
