Personal Statement
As the winner of numerous speaking awards it would seem that I would be a natural at Public Speaking. I am now, but in 2005 I overcame the biggest fear of all and that was to stand and speak in front of a group of people. I had a severe case of stage fright that prevented me from communicating with everybody. I learned from Toastmasters how to communicate but I learned from myself and others on how to overcome the fear of stage fright. The only reason I bring this out is that if I wanted to learn something from someone, I would hope he understood how I felt. Believe me, I know how you feel if you have to speak to a group of people, but I also know how to teach you to overcome this fear and speak with confidence to an audience. In 2005 I was awarded the most Humorous Speaker in Toastmasters for the Houston area, and in 2006 was the runner up for that same award.
I know how to overcome the fear obstacle, and would like to teach you how to conquer your fear of speaking.
