Dear Students and Parents:
If you or your kids plan to apply to a world-renowned university whether in the distant or near future, you may have arrived at your final destination. As a highly skilled, well trained professional tutor achieving perfect scores in several advanced subjects and standardized tests, I have helped over 200 students achieve high test scores and GPA. While directing my rigorous academic program, Berkeley Standard test prep tutoring in SF, and developing many high-level English, math and test prep materials for two years, I have designed and taught many specialized curricula preparing students for various standardized tests. As a top 2% on national IQ test, I teach students how to become effective independent learners by learning to analyze the test questions like a test writer. My students will conquer the test with the ability to create intelligent test questions themselves. You may be able to defeat the enemies if you know their tactics. In addition, you would know what to expect on the exam if you put yourself in the test maker's shoes.
I have accomplished record achievement on national standardized tests. I ranked in the 99th percentile in mathematics, 99th percentile in critical reading, and 99th percentile in writing. Graduating from UC Berkeley with high distinction 3.91 GPA, I am equipped with a decade of classroom experience at UC Berkeley, De Anza College and Berkeley Standard Scholar and Leadership Development Program (by Berkeley Peace Corps Club) in San Francisco. Hence, I can assure the instant maximum learning experience. You will learn how to analyze the materials and approach them from the big picture narrowing down to the specific targets. Upon extensive training, you will be able to create the tests and meet the expectation of the test makers. In the final analysis, I will train you to become a creative thinker and a resourceful student to other. With me, you can master the material/test without utilizing the calculator, translator or dictionary even if you had limited vocabularies or arithmetic.
Students will learn how to do split-second computation in their brain in order to quickly spot the right answer for the IQ-test type questions on standardized tests. Regardless of your or your kids' academic level ranging from elementary school to middle school, high school and college, I employ a rigorous college-style teaching method. Hence, I lead students to the full-scale solutions to problems. As a result, my students will finish math tests without using a calculator much faster than those using the calculator. As for English, students will learn how to pinpoint the thesis from the reading and quickly narrow down the author's objective while learning to write a compelling essay with complex structures and the ability to engage the readers. I don't teach guessing techniques, but the nuts and bolts of the subject, and I train my students to use the backbone subject knowledge from my classes to teach other students. They will be a master of the subject if they can teach other.
Top-tier high scores on standardized tests and grade A in the subjects taught are guaranteed for long-term, motivated students. Students will be assessed with a diagnostic test to find areas of weakness at the first meeting. I will focus on your weakest areas based on the assessment test and pay less attention to stronger areas. Regarding the lessons, I prepare and utilize my custom designed, high-level materials for our session while always teaching new materials and never recycling the lessons.
