Personal Statement
I have taught for 20 years a mixture of age groups. I have taught 1st grade all the way to be an adjunct professor on the college level. I enjoy helping children understand the subject matter and seeing their excitement as they grasp the concepts. I have taught junior high and senior high English the most. I believe it is important that children understand grammar and the many phonics and spelling rules. These rules are the building blocks to understand so many basics. I use various approaches to helping children; what works for one child may not work for another child. I am willing to help any age child.
