I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading/Reading Comprehension.
I am a certified teacher with 20 years of classroom teaching experience. During this time I taught band, choir, classroom music, and classroom in all grade levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The majority of my teaching career was spent teaching first grade.
I have been a tutor for 29 years. I have tutored extensively in music, reading and homework help. In addition, I have tutored math, World History, Science, Health and Study Skills.

Because I want to be sure my services will be helpful to you, I offer a FREE one hour lesson. This allows us to get to know each other and allows us to determine if I'm the right tutor for you.
Included in the price of a lesson are the following services: Lesson Plans for every tutoring session (Homework Help plans are general), Written and Oral feedback after each lesson, Contact with School Teachers and the Preparation of additional practice as needed.
My standard rate of pay is $40/hour. I offer several discount packages. Packages include (but are not limited to): pre-purchasing five hours or more of tutoring time, providing all of your own material and scheduling your lesson on either a weekend or starting prior to 3PM.
