Hello. My name is Gloria and I have been a teacher for nine years. I am currently a 6th grade teacher, but I have taught students of all ages. My certification is in reading, social sciences, English, elementary education, and middle school. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham method. I have also taught test preparation classes. These classes have focused on the ISAT and Terra Nova standardized test. I also have a lot of experience with RtI.
I have created and instructed differentiated lessons, evaluated students’ performance, and interacted with students’ parents. These experiences allowed me to become more knowledgeable and creative about the duties and characteristics necessary to be a successful educator. My enthusiastic and creative manner of instruction allows me to engage students in the learning process. I am open to diverse ideas and interact well with students and parents. I have effective listening skills, which enables me to gain students’ trust in my commitment to their well-being.
I feel that my determination, success, knowledge and experience would be an asset to your child. My teaching preparation extends beyond my Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, tutoring and teaching experiences.
