Your Success is My Priority! My name is Robert Bruckner. I know what it's like to not do well in school. If you or your child is struggling, I can help. Personalized one-on-one tutoring with lessons that are designed just for your son or daughter. Every tutoring session that I do is based on your child's needs and learning style. The classroom teacher can't possibly teach to every student's learning style. As a result, many students in the class can get lost. This is especially true in the middle grades, but applies to all grades, even college. If your son or daughter is falling behind and needs to pick up his or her grades, I can help get him or her back on the right track. If your son or daughter is a little discouraged, call me. I'll show him the way and I'll, take the clouds away and he'll experience, once again, sunny days. Strengthen your child's reading and math skills through one-on-one academic coaching (tutoring). Some teachers go too fast. Others go too slowly. Whatever the problem, I can get your child back on track. I tutor students in nearly all subjects including english, social studies, world history, american history, sociology, psychology, reading, language arts, writing, math, science. I also teach STUDY skills, test taking skills, organizational skills. I AM A certified teacher with 10 YEARS experience teaching and tutoring. I AM VERY ABLE TO WORK WITH special needs children and adults. I provide custom lessons for your son or daughter. I TUTOR ONE-ON-ONE. I work with students of all different ability levels including those students with documented or NON-documented learning disabilities. I specialize in tutoring students for the SAT and ACT exams, including the PSAT, subject area SAT or ACT tests, SAT for specialized high schools and other tests. Your son or daughter can do better. I work with your student's coursework. I tutor one-on-one. So, I go through all the homework, prepare students for tests and quizzes, help students to complete writing, reading and math assignments. I reteach what wasn't learned and provide additional practice until the student feels confident. I have 10 years experience working with students. My passion is writing and my area of expertise is English, History and in teaching middle school math through Pre-Algebra. SAT PREP program -- ONE-ON-ONE teacher based -- NO commercial test center Now, your son or daughter can prepare for the SAT or ACT with an SAT Teacher and Tutor who will help them improve his or her score. Many of my students have improved their SAT scores by about 50-75 points per section. Some of my students have boosted their scores by 100 points each in the critical reading section or 90 points in the math section. I teach both strategy and knowledge for the SAT, not "tips and tricks." I am not a commercial test prep center. I use materials that are suited for each particular student, depending on his or her needs. I expand vocabulary, improve reading, writing and reasoning skills, help students work math problems specifically for the SAT and write essays specifically for the SAT. SAT PREP -- critical reading & writing sections Through the years, I developed my own SAT PREP Program that involves expanding student vocabulary, test taking strategy and strengthening reading comprehension skills. Some of my students have reported boosting their scores by as many as 100 points on the Critical Reading portion. I use a variety of different materials for SAT PREP. The materials I choose depend on the student's needs. SAT PREP -- MATH section Did you know that getting just 8 questions right on the math section could raise your math SAT score by almost 100 points? How do you approach all those math questions when you take the SAT? I teach students how to solve the specific math questions. I provide a lot of practice on each of the question types. I am a certified social studies teacher. I tutor students in most middle school and high school subject areas including pre-algebra, biology, earth science, English, French (lower level/junior high), American history, world history, European history, geography, economics, government, political science, civics. psychology, philosophy, and more. TUTOR FOR college students -- undergrads and grads on the college level, I tutor most liberal arts studies such as English, history, and humanities courses. I do have some experience with geology and earth science. I am skilled with students of all different abilities, even with students who have learning disabilities such as ADD and ADHD. Engaging students and making subjects of little interest to students fun and exciting are what I do best. I put a new spin on your school work and show you how to work smarter so you learn in less time. cancellation policy Appointments may be canceled without penalty by giving 24 hours notice. Appointments canceled within 6 hours of scheduled appointment time will be billed the lesser of $95 or the actual cost of the cancelled session. All other cancellations may be subject to a $40 cancellation charge. Please note that it is my policy that a parent or guardian be at home during the tutoring session. Parents not home for the tutoring session will be responsible for paying for the entire session that did not take place. This policy does NOT apply to college students but DOES apply to 18 year old high school students.
