"Hello there! I am an Applied Mathematics & General Economics double-majored freshman with sophomore standing from University of California, San Diego. My name is Haoyun Cui, but you can call me Jack. With the passion and enthusiasm, I used to have plenty of teaching experiences since high school. I used to teach students Math, Science, and Chinese.
I specialize in teaching the following subjects, with some explanations:
1)These subjects are strongly recommended because I used to teach them in the past (with lots of experience): PSAT/SAT Mathematics & SAT II Math Level 1 or 2 (I got both exams 800, PSAT 80)
2)These subjects are also highly recommended because I received intense training while studying for the exams: AP Calculus AB/BC (I got both exams 5 and received close to perfect score in the mock exams; the detailed real exam scores were not posted)
3)These subjects are naturally recommended because I am a native speaker: SAT II Chinese Exam and AP Chinese (I received 5 on the exam)
Besides those specialized topics, I can also teach all math topics from elementary school to high school. ACT Math, Arithmetic, Integrated Math, Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry will all be good for me.
I will keep challenging my students with reasonable burdens, because I received and experienced harsh training throughout my high school and in college. Currently, I am on my way to complete UCSD¡¯s honors math sequence, which only about 20 out of several hundred math freshmen can complete it. I will assign homework and review/grade them. I will also have the progress report to the parents every month.
For Spring Quarter 2016, I will be available from 10am-8pm during the weekend. After the school year (June 10th), I will stay in the U.S. until July 1st, and during that period, I will be available any day from 10am to 8pm. Then I will go back to China and return on Sept.19th. I will update the availability later, since the schedule for the future is uncertain.
I can provide either in-person teaching or online teaching with Skype.
I am looking forward to helping many of you getting 5 on AP Calculus and 800 on SAT Math! Feel free to contact me through email and text." less...
