I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University in December 2009 with a degree in Spanish Language and Literatures with departmental and university honors. I also have an Illinois teacher certificate for Spanish grades K-12. I am currently a substitute teacher for Consolidated School District 158.
Personal Statement
My ultimate goal is to become a high school Spanish teacher because teaching and Spanish are my passions and teaching allows me to share that with others too. I was unfortunately unable to find a full-time position this year but I was able to substitute for 2 different Spanish teaching maternity leaves. When I tutor a student, I like to determine what their strengths and weaknesses are and continue from there. I like to incorporate fun activities and games to make learning more fun for everyone. I am willing to tutor individually or in groups.
