Personal Statement
I am a Certified Spanish Teacher who recently moved to NH. I am friendly and easy-going, but expect the best effort from my students.
I am well traveled and have experienced different Spanish/Hispanic Cultures. I am fully fluent, if not bi-lingual. I am able to converse with anyone in Spanish, as well as American English. I was born and raised in New England, but many native Spanish-speakers ask me what country I am from.
I believe that a student will retain more of what is taught if they enjoy their lessons, so I try to make learning fun. I use a TPR approach to learning. If every part of the senses are involved in learning, the learning is more complete. We won't just talk about foods, we will try different foods. We will make appropriate gestures when greeting someone.
I parent or legal guardian MUST be present in the home while I am there, no exceptions! We can always meet at a local library or another public setting if an adult is unable to be in the home for the tutoring sessions.
