Personal Statement

I am proud to say that my work and life experience combined with a solid theoretical knowledge in human communications will guarantee the first 50% of your success in learning Russian. My background briefly, in 7 sentences: I grew up in the Former USS Republic - Moldova. By speaking Russian language, I attended Pre-School and graduated with merits from High School. After declaration of Moldova’s independence, I have continued my university education in Romanian language, with intensive learning of English and French. A strong hunger for knowledge motivated me to study more and graduate from University of Commerce with two degrees: in International Economic Relations (I) and in Business Law (II) . My seriousness and persistence in education have been praised with a scholarship from the European Commission that allowed me to study and defend my MBA thesis (in English) at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France. With a strong knowledge and accumulated skills, I was employed in Moldova by a private British joint-venture and later by a subcontractor of the United States Agency for International Development. In parallel, starting from September, 2003, I have conducted both theoretical and practical lessons in Marketing (in Russian and Romanian) at the Academy of Economic Studies (Moldova’s Leading Business School). Today, I am a happily married man. My wife is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. Yes, she has also learned and speaks Russian. We have lived for a while in Europe and succeeded to establish a profitable business in partnership with a Leading American sporting goods brand. Recently, we have moved to DC area but we keep the business overseas and I manage it using internet project management tools. My working schedule allows me to offer tutorial assistance to people learning Russian language in DC area. I am a friendly personality but serious about my assignments and responsible for your expectations.
