Personal Statement

Hello all! My name is Adrian and if you are seeking instruction in trumpet, piano or overall music theory, I am your guy. I've spent the past four years (2) at the University of the Arts pursuing a bachelor's degree in Music Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies. Throughout the college education process, I have had the pleasure of befriending and playing with several outstanding young musicians in the Philadelphia area. Currently, I am involved with a touring rock band (The Waffle Stompers) that has recently released an EP and music video. But enough about me, the real question is "what can I do for you″"-- I'm glad you asked. What I offer to students is a perspective from someone who is self-taught but also aware of traditional learning methods that have proven to be effective. I like to supplement method books with various other exercises that not only teach instrument fundamentals but overall knowledge of how music works and can be manipulated. The main driving force is optimism and perseverance. The attitude is never that one cannot do something but that they cannot do it "yet". With my versatility in trumpet and piano and various genres, I intend to show students many of the endless possibilities music has to offer.
