Personal Statement
Accounting is an interesting subject, which can be learned in several stages: introductory, intermediate and advanced accounting. I graduated with a Master’s degree from University of Maryland with major in accounting and have worked in the capacity as a bookkeeper, accountant, and as a controller. I taught several students in all levels of accounting to undergraduate and graduate Students. My experience include teaching at Coresoft Institute in VA the accounting concepts and advanced accounting for student learning SAP software for 3 years.
I taught students in basic accounting explaining concepts, debits-credits, personal accounts, nominal accounts and General Ledger and creating chart of accounts as per GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. I also taught accounting for subsidiary ledgers like accounts payable, accounts receivable, Asset accounting, bank reconciliation and entering journal entries into GL for adjustments. I used exercises to prepare journal entries, preparing “T” accounts, and closing GL accounts. Followed by preparing Trial balance and preparation of Financial Statements like Trial Balance, Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows.
I am available 7 days a week, with flexible hours.
