Personal Statement
I focus on learning according to your own style, and organizational strategies for ADD-ADHD. I often work over Skype or phone rather than in person, but will visit too. I'm a teacher of over twenty years with two master's degrees, a creative person, freelance writer and actor, and I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. I am also a certified Learning Styles Specialist with six years of postgraduate seminar training, and I'm a Positive Psychology Life Coach. Frustrated by the people teaching about ADD who don't have it themselves, or have a child dealing with it, I've sought out the best resources for learning and recovery created by those who know. I also study brain function and holistic health.
As a comedy improvisor and instructor, I teach others to think outside conventional boxes, and I treat each student as a completely unique entity, because I know that no two brains are alike. I will learn your language and your child's rather than try to teach you mine. That said, I have some great practical stuff for you: fast and easy to begin to implement right away.
