Education: BA Messiah College 1999 (English Lit. and Secondary Education); Masters Degree from University of Illinois 2002 (Teaching English as a 2nd Language); Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China (Full-time Chinese student -- 2 years); 2nd Masters Degree from Simmons College (Special Education) and have earned Mass certification in Special Education, English, and Mandarin Chinese.
Experience: 4 years teaching high school English in public schools, 6 years teaching writing and special education; 1 year teaching ESL in China; 2 years teaching writing to international graduate students at U of IL; about 6 years of outside tutoring experience.
