"Hello! My name is Peter Panopoulos, a licensed middle school mathematics teacher. I have 9 years of teaching in the public school setting, along with over 10 years of tutoring for students of all ages. I completed my masters degree in education at Lesley University in 2018. Over the last couple of years, I decided to take a break from teaching and travel the world on my motorcycle. This experience allowed me to not only see amazing parts of the world and meet new people from all different backgrounds, but it also showed me how much I miss working with students.

My favorite part of tutoring and teaching is the confidence my students gain after each session. When a student finds a solution to a problem they have been struggling with, it brings me immeasurable joy. Throughout my years of teaching and tutoring, this confidence in mathematics seems to expand into all other parts of a student's life.

Mathematics is an all-encompassing "language" people use in everyday life. My main focus throughout my career has not only been for students to be able to solve a math problem on a piece of paper, but explain their process verbally as well. With all the data I have collected over my years of teaching, I have found this to be the best way to help students understand the concepts they are trying to learn, because it accesses different thought processes around the same problem.
