"I have a doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction and have worked in science education for over 20 years. I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Physical Science at the high school level as well as worked with students to pass state exams. I have experience teaching AP and advanced students and EL learners. I love working with students and helping to simply some of the complex processes in science. I think with the right help all students can grasp the concepts they need to be successful.

I have taught in four different Texas high schools and currently work with teachers. My Master's areas of focus were in Biology and Physics. I hold a Composite Science teaching certification in Texas, which means I am certified to teach any science grades 6-12. I am excited to help build students' confidence and excitement in scientific thinking. I know most middle and high school science standards inside and out. I am very familiar with how science skills are often tested and where gaps and misconceptions in content often lie.
