"I have recently retired after teaching elementary school for 34 years. This includes 27 years of classroom teaching, 4 years of AIS math teaching, and 3 years of enrichment math and science teaching. I would now like to put my vast experience to use by tutoring young Elementary and Jr. High level students in math, science, reading, writing, spelling, social studies, study habits and any other school related subject that a student may need assistance. I have taught overseas for 4 years, 2 years in Scotland and 2 years in England. This overseas teaching experience plus my other years of teaching offer a vast amount of background knowledge. My 34 years of teaching have brought me into contact with many types of students with many types of learning disabilities. As a classroom teacher, I know that not all students learn the same way and the tutoring program a child receives should be tailored to their specific learning style.
