"Hello, My name is Tyanna and I am an English major and psychology minor. My future aspirations include becoming a therapist for families. I want to be able to help people adjust to the root of their problems without feeling uncomfortable. When it comes to tutoring, my experience is about a year and half. I worked with a program that was dedicated directly to literacy and learning to read. I also did guest teach preschoolers for three years as well. Those three years were exceptional because I was able to learn different techniques, as well as children. I love tutoring because I know what it's like to not understand a subject.

I am the type of tutor that will be hands on with the learning, no matter who the student is. Tutoring gives me the chance to change people's lives in small ways. The foundation for children starts young, I want to help them succeed to the best of their ability.

I am a great English tutor because not only am I an English major but I also help tutor children with literacy. I already have a background on focusing on what techniques will be helpful to the student. No student is that same, especially when it comes to the adaptability of learning. Instead of making that a bad thing, I like to hone in on how a student would like to learn.

I have taught in a preschool before and one the things we worked on was handwriting. I would do fun activities with the children that would require them to write letters. The more we write the better they will get.
