"I grew up in New Jersey and and started my first business at 10 and have had multiple businesses since then. In 1996 I moved to Arizona to explore my potential. I joined the Army in 1997 and graduated basic with a MOS of 19K, or a tank crewmen. I got out in 2000 and then went to work for the State Dept. of Corrections where I worked at Perryville prison levels 1-5 . In 2002 I started my own company dealing with landscaping, tree work, excavation, demolition, power washing, recycling, real estate and even a waste collection business. In 2007 besides my business I wanted to learn mining, so I applied for a position at the Pinto Valley Mine in Miami, Arizona. The mine closed early due to the financial crisis, but the separation package included a free two year degree. So I started my college career which now encompasses five undergrad, one grad, and completing my second grad degree. Teaching is a bucket list item for me, to help individuals understand the world around them, so here I am!
I have owned a landscaping and tree business, I also have degrees in Urban Horticulture from Mesas Community College and a degree in General Agriculture from Central Arizona College. My first business was in landscape maintenance and progressed into design, construction, and irrigation over the last few decades. I sold my business to finish my graduate work and will eventually restart my landscape company.
Public Speaking has always been a passion for me, telling individuals a story about some subject. While I was in vocational school during high school, I won third place in the extemporaneous speech contest held by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. Since owning my business speaking to individuals or groups of individuals has become easier for me. I am currently restructuring my business and will have to give a presentation to future investors, I cannot wait, this is my passion, this new business which I cannot wait to reveal to the world.
Career Development is something that requires foresight while determ" less...
