"Hello! My name is Connor, and I graduated from the University of Maine system in 2010 with a degree in Secondary Education, concentration English. I was a Job Specialist for a nonprofit organization located in a high school, and there I helped students develop resumes, cover letters, college applications, and essays. I love editing and proofreading, as well as reading and writing. Some of my favourite books are His Dark Materials (the Golden Compass series), Harry Potter, the Red Queen series, and the historical fiction Arundel.

I enjoy tutoring because I love working with students to develop skills and expand their knowledge and love for English. It is so important to me to help build students' self-confidence and sense of self-worth. There is no "smart" student or "dumb" student, only those students who are motivated and those who are not.

I have always had a passion for reading and writing. When I was in high school and college, I was a part of an online writing database. I both wrote short stories and edited them for other writers. Now I am currently writing a work of fiction that I hope to publish within the next year. I have experience with grammar and proofreading, and my past teaching experience makes me an enthusiastic tutor. I am dedicated to helping students succeed, and I will put the utmost effort into ensuring student success.
