"Mabuhay! Long live! I am committed in helping a student learn by developing an intrinsic love for learning and by making it fun. I have been teaching for the past seven years in public elementary schools with gifted, academically challenged and English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Because of this, I use different strategies to reach my student’s potential capitalizing on each child’s multiple intelligence (e.g., visual, kinesthetic, verbal, and musical, etc.) to make learning more enjoyable and effective. I graduated from UNCC in 2013 with a GPA of 3.8 and a degree of Graduate Certificate in Teaching majoring in English as a Second Language.
I am certified in ESL from K-12. I can tutor in different subject areas from K-7 and in English and Writing from K-12. I came to the United States from another country, the Philippines, in 1994. It is my belief that the best way for a child to develop is from a holistic point of view. I will try to be flexible with my time and I do need at least an 8-hour notice in case you wanted to cancel a tutorial. In tho" less...
