"Currently, I am an Auburn University senior looking to graduate in May of 2022 with a B.S. in Microbiology. I started off as a Biomedical Science major wanting to go to med school. Clearly that didn't work out. I find the best way that I have learned material is by teaching it to others or pretending like I'm explaining it to others as I study. Currently, I am an Auburn University senior looking to graduate in May of 2022 with a B.S. in Microbiology. I started off as a Biomedical Science major wanting to go to med school. Clearly that didn't work out. I find the best way that I have learned material is by teaching it to others or pretending like I'm explaining it to others as I study. This will likely be one of my main strategies in tutoring, and having you explain things to me. At the same time, I am obtaining a minor is Psychology since that had become one of my absolute favorite topics since I started college. Studying how humans work and interact with each other and the way that their past experiences make up their modern day self is fascinating to me.

Starting college in Biomedical Sciences gave me experience in all of the general biological fields; general biology, genetics, and some chemistry. After switching to Microbiology, my knowledge has become hyper-specific. Being in my final semester as an undergraduate, I have taken some very high level biology classes and finally see how those early, basic biology classes set me up with a baseline understanding of biology that was crucial to my future success. At this point, all of these sciences can tie in to each other super intimately. With my education on the many fields of biology as well as my personal interest on Psychology, I believe that combination could be really useful for you high schoolers, young freshmen, or even some seasoned college students. Being a nearly graduated senior, I would be able to closely relate to the struggles of high school and college with my own experiences, especially from when I just started out. Specifically, I believe my tutoring style would be to help those of you who intend to go far in the science field, to develop that baseline understanding of general sciences or if it's just a core requirement course that you have to take, maybe just enough to get you a good grade in the class :)" less...
