"Dr. Regine R. R is a Program Manager with the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, and has experience with education at all levels, primary, secondary, and postsecondary. Although she does not have any official tutoring experience, Dr. R. has taught at the postsecondary level of education. However, tutoring is an additional method of increasing knowledge, and honing skills. This is what she loves about tutoring. She received her B.A. degree in Marketing from Michigan State University and her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Grand Valley State University. Her Ph.D. degree in Community Health was awarded by UIUC in 2010. Dr. R. began her academic career in 2005 with the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at UIUC as a graduate student in Community Health. She first served as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Medical Ethics Course. She was then afforded the opportunity to serve as the Course Coordinator/Instructor of Human Sexuality for the majority of her graduate career. Her primary research interest in sexual health education and prevention, particularly among African Americans, the focus of her dissertation was “HIV & STD testing behaviors among heterosexual African American men”. Dr. R. also established a graduate student research team during her graduate career to examine HIV related health issues. They developed a web-based survey to assess awareness, beliefs, and perception of recently failed Merck HIV vaccine among HIV prevention service providers, presenting papers for presentation at national conferences and consultation meetings.

Dr. R. also had the honor of publishing articles about disparities in rehabilitation outcomes for ethnic minorities with disabilities, particularly African Americans, with her graduate mentor and advisor, conducting numerous conference presentations and honing her research skills.
