I work as a Bioinformatics Programmer for a very reputed Hospital on projects related to Next generation sequencing. My primary focus is on very large epidemiology studies relating to Breast, Ovarian, Pancreatic and Endometrial Cancer. Genomics dataset can be very large and is considered Big Data. Tools that i use on a daily basis to analysis large datasets are Python, R, Bash/Shell scripting on a High Performance Computing (HPC) system. All code is always version controlled. GIT! GIT! GIT!

I'm also a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota and my focus is on mutational prediction relating to functional damaging impact on the cell. This involves high amount of knowledge on Biostatistics and Machine learning.
