"While I am relatively new to tutoring students, I am extremely excited to make myself of use to those who are struggling in school. "While I am relatively new to tutoring students, I am extremely excited to make myself of use to those who are struggling in school. I believe every student has a special way of learning, and it takes catered time to learn about the student to help them better succeed in their studies. While grades are the general result, I feel it is imperative for the student to actually learn the material, not just memorize the text. As I said before, I am new to tutoring, so I am definitely open to suggestions to how I tutor; however, many of the techniques I use when tutoring are based off of my own techniques I picked up from teachers, college professors, and personal experience.

Okay, time for a little bit more information about me. I am currently a junior at Kennesaw State University with a double major in Geography and History. Currently, I have a 3.89 GPA and have been listed on the Dean's List my first two semesters at KSU and the President's List every semester since. When I graduated high school, I graduated with a 3.99 GPA having taken multiple AP classes including AP World History, AP United States History, AP Environmental Science, and many more. I am an aspiring teacher. Following my graduation at KSU, I plan on continuing my studies and completing a Master's in the Art of Teaching, specifically in history and/or geography. My entire life has been full of opportunities to teach people, even when it is not school-related. I have always loved helping people and have always had a passion for geography and history. It only makes sense that this is my career path.

In high school, I took many classes that focused on developing my writing, including AP Language and Composition and AP American Literature and Composition. However, since both geography and history involve extensive research, I have also greatly sharpened my writing abilities in college. These classes have also strengthened my ability to conduct peer research, allowing me to quickly and effectively read through and critique another peer's work." less...
