"Few things are more fulfilling to me than tutoring. I love helping people work through a tricky problem. To help them go from thinking the assignment was impossible to identifying exactly what they don’t get. Helping them understand the part of the assignment that is holding them back. It’s an incredible feeling to share in their joy when they get a score on a test or assignment that they thought was far beyond their grasp. More than anything, I love when all the pieces come together in their mind. The flash of excitement and understanding in their eyes as they figure it all out. Inspired by my love of tutoring, I entered college certain I wanted to become a teacher.

At Connecticut College, I never lost that love of tutoring. I continued to help my fellow classmates when they were stuck on material. I’ve worked with students over the course of semesters and run group tutoring sessions where people could drop in for help. I mostly tutored for the introductory classes, which are equivalent to algebra/calculus AP physics. I graduated in 2021 with a major in physics and minors in mathematics and economics. From the start of summer 2021 to present, I have been attending Merrimack College's M.Ed program.

I graduated with a minor in mathematics with a focus on calculus. I also have a wide knowledge of where different mathematical aspects appear and are used in the real world. I’m familiar with many different ways to present mathematical concepts, including common core. I’ve helped many students with developing math skills and overcoming their roadblocks. In addition, in my work as a physics tutor, I’ve helped dozens of students with the algebra and calculus background needed for physics.
