"I love to teach Math. A lot of times, math is seen as a subject that people grudge through, and dislike learning about, but its this negative view on math, that makes me love to teach it so much. Math is hard, but it can be explained in a way that doesn't just make it understandable, but also tolerable to learn. In undergrad, I tutored in a tutoring center, and also privately, and I never ran into a student I couldn't teach.

My attitude for math is what I believe makes me a great tutor. I know that the majority of students hate learning math and see it as a credit they have to earn, and even though that is true, I try to explain the math in a way that they are motivated to learn, even if they feel forced to take the subject.

The biggest thing I can stress, is that I'm here to help with the math, not do the entire problem and leave the tutee in the dust. Its important to me that the tutee feels confident in their abilities.
