"Hello! I am Hannah and I hold Bachelor's degrees in both Astrophysics and Physics from Penn State. I am also working on my Master's in Astrophysics online with Penn State and will have that this December. I have experience tutoring or being part of a teaching team in Algebra II, AP Calculus AB, Calculus II, Physics Mechanics, Physics Electronics, and Observational Astronomy. I've been recommended by professors to be teaching assistants for these courses and when I helped a student complete AB Calculus the student went from a C to an A.

With my degrees, I hold expertise in astronomy, physics, mathematics, and computer science. With my tutoring and teaching assistant experience I hold expertise in helping students learn by creating a safe environment to make mistakes and learn. I focus on a hands-on approach to learning where the student tries things, makes mistakes, and asks questions. I see myself as a guide in this approach instead of a lecturer. This helps students stay engaged and also gives me continuous feedback on what they do or do not know. I learned this method was most effective by taking a Evidence Based Teaching workshop at Penn State.
