"I'm a graduate student at the University of West Florida, with two BAs from Eastern Kentucky University; one is in history, and the second is in anthropology with an archaeology minor. I'm a fairly experienced archaeologist and historian, but my talents extend to most academic subjects outside of my specialty because I am a generalist at heart.
My primary goal is to help prepare students for success later in life by helping them with the subjects covered on the ACT. However, I am obviously not limited to this narrow scope; I am likely able to help with most subjects with which a student may be struggling.
I have a lifelong passion for the sciences combined with good communication skills means I can break complex subjects down into their easily understood components. I have nearly five years of experience in professional archaeology, history, and museum settings, and hundreds of hours in laboratory settings.
I received scores in the 90th percentile or above on the linguistic sections of the ACT and GRE tests. Over the course of my career, I've written thousands of pages worth of research, laboratory, and scientific documentation, as well as some short stories and novellas for fun. I'm also well-read in the classics, from the Iliad and the Odyssey to A Tale of Two Cities and beyond.
Although my specialties are aimed at anthropology, archaeology, history, and writing, students who need a little help and encouragement in any of the arts or sciences can count on me!" less...
